Michael Henningsen joined Raymond James in 2024 as managing director in the Private Capital Advisory team. Mr. Henningsen brings over 20 years of relevant experience in alternatives fundraising for both funds and direct investments, including for private equity, infrastructure, credit and real estate strategies.
Prior to Raymond James, Mr. Henningsen was head of investor relations at the Pophouse Fund, a music IP and catalogue focused investor that was part of Pophouse Entertainment. Included among Pophouse’s various businesses is the ABBA Voyage, the successful digital based London avatar show that launched in 2022. Prior to that, Mr. Henningsen was a partner at FIRSTavenue, a global placement agent, where he was responsible for its business in Asia. Other roles include as a managing director at the Park Hill Group, part of the Blackstone Group, based in Hong Kong and as a director in the UBS private funds group, based in London, where he started his fundraising career back in 2000.
Mr. Henningsen received his BA in economics from the University of Cambridge and his MSc in economics from London School of Economics.
